Kwik-Print

Description

“In 1977 Light Impressions Corporation of Rochester, New York, introduced Kwik-Print, a contact speed color printing material. This was a modification of the Kwik-Proof graphic arts proofing system made by Direct Reproductions Corporation of Brooklyn, New York (Wilhelm 1978). Kwik-Print materials consisted of premixed sensitized and pigmented gum in squeeze plastic bottles and of nonplasticized white-pigmented vinyl base sheets available in three types.33 Layers of light-sensitive material were successively coated, exposed, and washed off to produce a full-color image (Fig. 3.27). Kwik-Print materials remained available until the early 1990s.”
